Nowadays, the majority of workshops are applied to led high bay instead of metal halide, high pressure sodium and fluorescent lamp. However, what should you do when the LED High bay is out of order and? How to decrease the cost of repair and maintenance?
Firstly, let’s get to know the category of LED high bay. Generally speaking, it is divided in three types, small-power patch, high-power integrated light source and bulbs and the structure of the first two are almost the same, which are composed of heat sink, driving power, LED light source(light emitting diode) and lens. If it is out of order, the light maybe not work, shimmer after light for a while or flicker, etc. In fact, the problem is in power and light source.
1) Light source: the assembly process of light is not enough perfect. For example, LED can’t get in touch with heat sink and thermal grease in the luminaire base is smeared unevenly. In addition, if the quality of LED is not very good, it is also burned after long time lighting.
2)Power: some manufacturers are applied to poor quality power for low cost. As a result, the product is unqualified. It would happen after long time lighting, such as burned out, flicker or shimmer after light for a while.
If your LED high bay happens the above phenomenon, then please do as following:
1)Small-power patch type needs to change the lamp panel while high-power integrated light source type needs to change the power. It’s important to note that both of them need to do the work of thermal conductivity.
2)If the power doesn’t work, please change a new one.
3)If the light is out because of power, you’d better also change the light source at the same time.
