Lumens depreciation of led high bay means signal weakens during light transmission. At present, the lumens depreciation level of LED fixtures which are produced by big LED manufactories worldwide is different. Big power LED also exist lumens depreciation phenomenon, which is related to temperature and mainly determined by chip, fluorescent powder and encapsulation technology. There are two factors which cause lumens depreciation of LED.
The first one is the quality of LED fixtures.
1) The quality of LED chips is not good and the brightness decays quickly.
2) The production technology has some defects so that the heat dissipation of LED chips is not able to export from the foot of PIN. As a result, chips decay more quickly because of their high temperature.
The second one is the problem of working condition.
1) LED belongs to constant current driver; however, some LED is adapted to voltage driver. This is the reason that caused LED lumens depreciation.
2）Driving current is bigger than rated driving condition.
In fact, there are many reasons that caused lumens depreciation except the above reasons. The key problem is still heat. Plenty of manufactories produce inferior quality LED which is not care about heat dissipation. After a long time use, lumens depreciation level of these inferior products is much higher than high quality products which pay much attention to heat dissipation. In addition, there are some other factors which have some relation with lumens depreciation, such as heat resistance of chip, influence of elargol, heat dissipation effect of substrate, colloid, gold wire, etc.
