Nowadays, in order to open the door of civilian market, the majority of LED Light is designed to a replaceable way, which is able to directly replace the existing fixture. However, overviewing the development of fixture, except that compact fluorescent tube could immediately replace incandescent, only a little of them could be replaced. For example, T8 and LED Ceiling Lamp is still the patent of fluorescent lamp, while pendant lamp is still the world of tungsten lamp. Then when could LED Light unify the market at earth? What is the defect about it?

Some of them even compress the area of PCB or reduce safety device. All in all, there are many kinds of methods to cut down cost. It’s no doubt that these methods are fatal to the whole industry since that LED light doesn’t gain a firm foothold in the market. As a result, the technique development of LED maybe stagnate or even degenerate. On the other hand, the compression of cost is unable to promise the quality of product so that it fails to display the advantage of LED completely. Now, let’s talk about the defect of LED Light.

 

1. Heat dissipation: Poor heat resistance of LED would affect the life time of chip. This is the most severe problem that LED facing. At present, the heat dissipation of LED is very bad and mainly exports heat by heat sink. Therefore, the design of heat dissipation is very essential. It has become the key factor to judge the quality of fixture.   

2. Lifetime: As we mentioned before, LED fixture is a little high because of the cost. There’s no universal standard about domestic LED while plenty of manufactories produce LED fixture. Finally, the quality is varied. So we must sharpen our eyes during purchasing fixture. 

  

3. Weight: When picking up a fixture, many people pay much attention to introduce the material of heat dissipation. There are two main key points about material, one is the quality of material and the other is the weight, which is a big ordeal to socket. The previous CFL is light because it hasn’t heat sink. On the contrary, LED has the problem of heat dissipation, so we must consider the influence of weight to socket. For example, the weight of a 50W  led high bay   is about 4.1kg, a 100W  LED Area Light   is about 10.4kg.
