Have you ever walked past a solar streetlight that barely glows—or worse, one that’s flamed out entirely? It’s a common sight, but it’s not just bad luck. It’s the direct result of cutting corners and overlooking crucial engineering details.
A successful, reliable solar lighting project isn’t magic. It comes down to asking the right questions from the very start. At E-Lite, we don’t just ask these questions—we build the answers into every product we make.
1. What batteries are best suited to your climate?
The heart of any solar light is its battery. While many use generic cells, E-Lite goes the extra mile. We use only 100% new Grade A+ battery cells, which are most used in auto industry, so you can trust their reliability and longevity.
But our commitment doesn’t stop there. We operate our own professional battery pack production line, where every single cell is rigorously tested. Each completed battery pack undergoes stringent parameter checks and a critical aging process that includes three full charge-discharge cycles. This unparalleled level of quality control ensures every battery we ship delivers consistent, reliable performance, a standard many suppliers simply cannot meet.
2. How many lumens does the system really produce?
Batteries and solar panels are the main cost drivers of a solar light. To lower the overall system cost without sacrificing light output, E-Lite’s engineers focused on a key metric: efficiency.
After extensive testing and analysis, we selected high-brightness Lumileds 5050 LEDs. This allows our complete lighting systems to achieve an incredible 200-210 lumens per watt. Compared to the industry standard of 150 lm/W or less, this is a monumental leap. It means our 75W fixture produces the same dazzling brightness as a typical 100W light.
But brilliant light is nothing if it’s wasted. That’s why E-Lite offers dozens of optical distribution lenses, from Type I to Type V. This ensures the right light is delivered to the right place, eliminating waste and guaranteeing that every dollar you invest works as hard as possible.
3. How is the system sized for harsh winter performance?
Most LED solar street lights on the market use standard LiFePO4 batteries with a charging temperature range of 0°C to 60°C. Yet, winter temperatures in many regions regularly drop far below freezing.
To solve this, E-Lite engineers collaborated with our battery cell partners to develop a breakthrough: a LiFePO4 battery that charges efficiently even at -20°C. This extends our operating charge/discharge temperature range to -20°C to 60°C, ensuring your streets and spaces remain safely illuminated through the coldest, darkest winters.
4. What testing and certifications back the system’s reliability?
We don’t expect you to just take our word for it. Our commitment to quality is verified at every step:
- Premium Components: Grade A+ battery cells, high-efficiency solar panels (23% conversion vs. the market’s 20%), and solar charge controllers from industry-leading brands like SRNE.
- In-House Rigor: Our extensive in-house testing equipment allows us to validate every single component—each cell, every battery pack, every solar panel—before assembly.
- Third-Party Verification: Our complete fixtures are certified and tested by independent agencies for CE, RoHS, IP66 (weatherproof), IK08 (vandal resistance), and LM79 (photometric performance).
At E-Lite, we believe in lighting the way forward with integrity, innovation, and impeccable engineering. Don’t settle for lights that fail. Choose lights built to last.
Choose E-Lite. Illuminate with Confidence.
