Multiple Communication Options for E-Lite iNET Smart Lighting Control System

E-Lite Semiconductor Co., Ltd. has over 18 years of experience making outdoor LED lights and 10 years of experience in smart IoT systems. We developed our own iNET IoT cloud platform, which is our smart lighting control system. This smart lighting control system connects solar street lights with wireless smart technology, so users can manage all lights remotely. This smart lighting control system uses safe wireless mesh networks. Lights can communicate with each other reliably, even across large areas. Cities, power companies and project managers can save energy, lower repair costs and improve public safety with this smart lighting control system.

Key Benefits of E-Lite iNET IoT Smart Lighting Control System

  1. Simple monitoring and control This smart lighting control system shows all solar street lights on an easy digital map. You can check real-time information: on/off status, brightness, battery and solar panel performance. You can control the lights remotely.
  2. Flexible grouping and scheduling You can group lights by location or use. Set automatic working schedules for daily use, holidays or special events within the smart lighting control system.
  3. Detailed data collection iNET, the smart lighting control system, automatically collects operational data many times a day, such as power use, battery charge and system faults. This helps you make decisions and solve problems quickly.
  4. Useful historical reports The platform of the smart lighting control system creates clear historical reports. You can export files in CSV or PDF format.
  5. Smart fault alerts The smart lighting control system keeps checking lights, batteries, solar panels and controllers. If it finds a problem, it will send an email alert right away. Repair teams can fix issues before the lights stop working.

E-Lite iNET smart lighting control system supports two communication solutions.

  1. Gateway+LCU Advantages: Only the gateway requires a SIM card, which saves SIM card costs. The gateway uses radio frequency to connect with multiple LCUs, so this smart lighting control system is suitable for dense street light layouts. Disadvantages: The whole smart lighting control system depends on the gateway. If the gateway fails, all connected LCUs will lose connection. Extra gateway hardware and on-site installation work are needed.

 2. 4G LCU Advantages: No gateway required. Each LCU connects directly to the platform via 4G/5G. This smart lighting control system is simple to install and works well for scattered light points. Single LCU fault will not affect other devices. Disadvantages: Every LCU needs a separate SIM card, leading to higher ongoing SIM fees. More 4G modules also increase the hardware cost of the smart lighting control system.

In conclusion, there is no single best option. We advise customers to choose the right communication method according to their actual project needs, budget and the professionalism of the on-site installation team.
